The owner and lead designer of Memorable Occasions, Maureen Allen, is certified by The Wedding Planners Institute of Canada (WPIC). Maureen is also recognized by, and is an active member of the International Special Events Society, Canada. ISES Canada is an exclusive professional association that promotes a level of excellence that has become the standard of the industry for consultants, coordinators, and affiliated event planning professionals. Maureen also gets up-to-date information on the latest trends and changes in the wedding and event planning industry through online training sessions, local affiliate meetings, and by attending trade shows and conferences. Maureen prides herself on being organized, detail-oriented, and dedicated to her career as an event designer and planner.
Memorable Occasions was born out of Maureen’s passion, organizing memorable and unique events, particularly helping her friends and relatives by organizing their important day. She believes that her services would save countless hours of stress. But what she loves the most about her work is bringing her client’s visions and dreams to life on that big day. What started out as a “free” service, hosting and organizing birthday parties, weddings, barbeques, fashion modeling contests, family reunions, and other events for friends and relatives, has now become a professional venture. Given the opportunity, Memorable Occasions will do whatever it takes to make your event a success and to exceed your expectations.
Objectives
Memorable Occasions is a small business aimed at the big time. Our staff of six, with numerous contract vendors, plans events, prepares gift baskets, creates floral centerpieces, creates party favors, and train area students in the art of event planning and home-making. In order to reach its lofty goals, Memorable Occasions must focus on the mission behind the vision. It will take all the employees, owners, founders, and vendors daily living the vision that Memorable Occasions represents.
The vision manifests itself in three ways:

All subcontract efforts are managed carefully and are with other businesses that share our values of operating with integrity and promoting excellence and quality. This enables our clients to have one source for their event needs.

Our excellent consultants have the ability to find the best guest speakers, the best caterers, the highest level of entertainment, the best quality rental suppliers, and an efficient set-up team for your events. While it is our intent to earn a reasonable profit that ensures our financial health and success, we will also provide competitive pricing to our clients, keep in tune with the needs of the market, and utilize the latest technology and trends to ensure our clients receive the individual attention they deserve.
